Lewis Hamilton's 106th Grand Prix victory was his first in red, and it came on the strength of a bold Ferrari strategy.

George Russell led from pole with Hamilton second. Ferrari pitted Hamilton early to undercut the Mercedes, and he took the lead when Russell and Kimi Antonelli made their second stops. A late Virtual Safety Car let Ferrari make a third stop for very little time, and Hamilton came out just ahead of Russell and held him off.
Antonelli spent the closing laps attacking his teammate and got past on Lap 61, only to retire a lap later with a technical problem. That handed Lando Norris the final podium spot.
Hamilton, Russell and Norris made it the first all-British podium since the 1968 United States Grand Prix. Hamilton's win came 686 days after his previous one, at Spa in 2024.
His streak ended with a retirement, and his lead dropped to 41 points.
After two straight second places in Canada and Monaco, the win put him clear in second in the championship.
