Antonelli converted pole and built a lead of about 30 seconds before his stop on Lap 37. Max Verstappen stalled on the grid, which let Lewis Hamilton up to second before Sainte Devote. Charles Leclerc later crashed out, and Lando Norris retired on Lap 43 with a power unit concern.
Lance Stroll's crash on Lap 60 brought out the Safety Car and wiped out Antonelli's lead, and a red flag followed. Antonelli held off Hamilton at every restart to take his fifth straight win. George Russell picked up a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane, then a drive-through for not serving it correctly, and finished 12th.
His second straight runner-up finish put him two points ahead of Russell in the standings, 66 behind Antonelli.
Pierre Gasly's pit-lane speeding penalty was overturned after the race, then reapplied on appeal in September. That dropped him to seventh and put Isack Hadjar on the podium. This page shows the final classification.
Liam Lawson finished fifth and Arvid Lindblad took a career-best sixth, helped by a free tire change under the red flag.
